How to play Live Free Bet Blackjack
The same rules as in classic Blackjack apply in this game variant. There are eight decks of cards used when playing Free Bet Blackjack, and it follows Vegas rules.
You can tailor your betting experience to your personal needs and choose between the minimum and the maximum bet amounts to place your wagers. You can bet on the main game or wager on the side bets.
The dealer gives two cards to each player, including the dealer’s hand, but their placement is unconventional. Instead of positioning the dealt cards face up on the table, the dealer places them onto a sliding pocket where they will next appear on your screen as computer-generated images. This is an excellent virtual reality feature.
After you receive your cards, the dealer will explain your betting options. You can:
- Hit - You take an additional card to bring your score closer to 21.
- Stand- If you believe you can’t improve on your hand, you can opt not to take any more cards.
- Double - If the value of your hand is nine, ten, or 11, you can double your bet and take an extra card.
- Split - The option to split your hand comes when you have a pair. That means each one of the cards is treated as a hand. If the pair is 10s, you will earn a free bet for the split.
Free Bet Blackjack offers you some free splits or doubles. Without this, you have to pay an additional amount for any doubles or splits you would like to play. The main objective of Blackjack is to get a score higher than that of the dealer. It has to be below or equal to 21.
You will be paid an even 1:1 win if your hand is better than the dealer’s hand. In regular Blackjack, a push will result in a win for the player, but your initial wager is returned in this one.
When the hand played results in a bust for the dealer, all the winning players will receive even money on their bets. Alternatively, if the dealer busts with 22, the bets are returned to the player as the winnings are pushed.
Special features
Free Bet Blackjack comes with four side bets that you can play.
- Any Pair - You will get a payout if your initial hand contains a pair. Suited pairs earn more with a 25:1 payout, and mixed pairs earn you 8:1.
- 23 + 1 - Here, you use the dealer’s up-facing card and your two cards to create a three-card poker hand. The best and highest paying hand is a Suited Trip which earns you 100:1. This is followed by a Straight Flush that pays 40:1; a Trip earns you 30:1; and the lower-paying hands are a Straight with 10:1 and a Flush that guarantees you a 5:1 payout.
- Hot Three - If your initial pair of cards in your hand and the dealer’s up-facing card sum up to 19, 20, 21, or three sevens, you will earn a payout. There are different values to each of the combinations. Three sevens will payout 100:1, while a score of 19, 20, and 21 will earn you 2:1, 4:1, and 20:1, respectively.
- Bust It - This pays out when you make the dealer go bust. The more cards the dealer has, the better the payout will be. Three cards get you a payout of 1:1; four cards are a 2:1 pay; five cards 9:1; six cards 50:1; seven cards 100:1; and if you manage to push the dealer up to eight cards or more, you will receive the maximum payout of 250:1.
Keep in mind that the dealer busts with a score of 22, so this bet acts as an insurance policy in this event.
